7 Signs You’re Ready To Get Married.

1.You’ve Dated Around

We’re not saying you have to pull a Jen Aniston and go through tons of dudes before you find The One. But having a few solid LTRs under your belt does help you figure out what qualities are important to you and what makes a relationship work—so you truly appreciate your future hubs when you find him.

2.You Share Similar Goals

Let’s say he wants to do the suburbia thing stat, while you’d love to travel the globe for a few years. If you get hitched, one of you will end up disappointed… . Settle down with a man you’re more or less on the same page with: you both want to live in the city, you both want (or don’t want) kids, etc.

3.You Don’t Want to Change Him

Look, you don’t have to adore everything about your guy. But you do have to make peace with the fact that he’s always going to sack out on the couch and be glued to ESPN on Sunday afternoons, and he’ll never stop slurping the milk in his cereal no matter how many times you say it annoys you. You can’t change a man (but you can tweak him), and trying to will make you frustrated…not to mention bitchier.

4.Your Connection Is Tight Out of Bed, Too

When you first started seeing each other, staying between the sheets all weekend was pretty legit. But for your bond to be strong enough for the long haul, you need more than a physical connection—meaning you need to know that you can have just as much fun together with your clothes on as you do when they’re off.

5.You’re Not Living Out a Bridal Fantasy

Sure, it seems like every time you sign onto Facebook, another pal has posted pics of herself in a stunning white gown. Sigh. But remember: Getting hitched isn’t about the ceremony—it’s about what happens afteryour big day. You’d better be thinking about your future life with him, not just your future bridal party photos (and how pretty they’ll look in that fab silver frame).

6.You Both Try to Resolve Fights

After you have a disagreement, it may seem easiest to apologize and move on—you know, do the whole “pretend it never happened” thing and go forward. But sweeping conflicts under the rug only sets you up for a bigger blow-outs down the road, because the issues will likely resurface if left unresolved. If you can’t talk things out rationally, you’re not ready.

7.Your Friends and Family Dig Him

Of course, it’s your life, so you have the final say. Thing is, choosing a partner is a big deal, and your inner circle’s input does mean something. It’s fine if a few family members or friends aren’t huge fans of you two as a couple; you can’t please ‘em all. But if everyone seems to think you’re a poor match, ask them why. They might be onto something.Source:Cosmopolitan

Vast of Bracket diagnosed with cancer of the blood

Such a sad story to report but it will definitely end well in Jesus name...Amen. Nwanchukwu Ozioko, popularly known as Vast from the popular singing group, Bracket, has been diagnosed with Lymphoma, a type of cancer of the blood. (Please Google it)

The singer was diagnosed in February this year after suffering serious body pains, headaches, non stop coughing, loss of weight and weakness while in Paris for a show. He flew to London where a test conducted determined he had cancer. Vast has been receiving treatment at the Wellington Hospital in the UK since February and I hear he's responding very well to treatment. He has undergone 4 cycles of chemotherapy with each cycle costing about N1.4million. He will do a few more before returning to Nigeria next month.

The sad part I hear from sources close to the singer is that he actually went to a hospital in Nigeria late last year when he started losing weight and feeling weak. They conducted a test on him but it took them forever to come back with the test result. Over three months actually. By then the cancer had spread to his liver. But thankfully he's getting better and will return home soon. Please say a prayer for him. More photos after the cut...

Olodo?? Former Benue State Gov in Fake WAEC Scandal

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja yesterday summoned the West African Examination Council (WAEC) to appear before it on June 17, 2013 to shed light on the allegation that former Benue State Governor George Akume forged his WAEC certificate.
The high court, in a brief proceedings yesterday, held that WAEC must be properly served all the court processes in the case to enable it help the court determine the justice of the case. But Akume, who told the court that he had been served all court processes, however said that he was yet to file his defence. He said he was still within time to do so.
A Benue State indigene and activist, Mr Phillip Agbese, had sued Akume before the high court, alleging that the former governor presented forged certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the purpose of seeking election into the National Assembly.
Akume is currently representing Benue North-West Senatorial District in the National Assembly. Section 66 (2) (a) of the 1999 Constitution provides that “a person shall be qualified for election if he has been educated up to, at least, school certificate level or its equivalent.”
Akume must have a valid WAEC certificate to be qualified to contest election into the National Assembly. Agbese is also contending that even his degree certificate was forged. But hearing in the matter yesterday was stalled.
Meanwhile, there was a mild drama yesterday before proceedings commenced.
Lead counsel to Mr. Philip Agbese, who is the plaintiff in the case, Chief Amobi Nzelu, cleared the air on the controversy that trailed his inability to appear in court at the last adjourned date.
A counsel in the office of Nzelu, Mr Samuel Nwokorie, had at the last adjourned date told the court that his boss could not appear in court because he was indisposed. But Nzelu debunked the claim, saying that he was before another judge at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court.
Agbese, through his counsel, is praying the court for a declaration that Akume did not possess the certificate number SCO 39633 allegedly issued to him by Government Secondary School Oturkpo, Benue State in 1971.
Joined in the suit are WAEC, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Inspector General of Police and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
Agbese also asked the court to declare that the result allegedly issued to Akume by WAEC did not belong to him and that the defendant did not obtain any degree from the University of Ibadan or any recognised university in Nigeria.
The plaintiff also asked the court to declare that whatever documents that were presented to INEC by Akume consequent upon which he was cleared to contest the gubernatorial election in Benue State, especially the West African Certificate No SCO 39633 and the University of Ibadan certificate and NYSC discharge certificate No. 043655 were forged.
He also wanted a declaration that the senatorial seat of Benue North-West District of Benue State occupied by Akume was vacant having not possessed the requisite qualification to contest for the position.

UNIABUJA A BETTER INSTITUTION....no matter the phenomenon

Yes,uniabuja is in battle with so many challenges like the non-accreditation of some courses, lack of good infrastructures, late admission.e.t.c.All these that are tarnishing the reputation of the school and the students,to me i will say the major cause is the {corruption} which we are fighting within Nigeria and uniabuja been located in the Federal Capital Territory.
Despite all these deficits,i can still vouch to say that this Tertiary institution which was founded 25yrs ago and whose motto is"for unity and scholarship"is still attaining the motives of its establishment by producing graduates who can represent the school both in Nigeria and diaspora.Only the weather and high cost of living of the location of the mini campus can contribute to the students failure but amongst all these factors,we still have students who are  sound, determine with first class and second class upper divisions like other schools.
Recently, with my research and interaction with students from other universities,i discovered that we at uniabuja can still take our stand anytime, anywhere. For an example, here we have lots of borrowed courses which helps in achieving broader knowledge of the course of study whereby some self righteous universities are specialized on the course of study except the General Studies. Also i showed a friend of mine studying at unilorin my question papers to review it,he was shocked by the standards of the questions.Down here from your first year till you graduate there is nothing as such called multiple choice questions,it is strictly theories and applied questions. To further justify my proposition,a lecturer in my dept. to mention a few, graduated with a first class, went for his masters at university of ibadan and still came out as the best student there(he boasted). We've also seen and heard of graduates of the faculty of law on getting to the law school showed an outstanding performance by graduating as the best students consecutively. With high social activities here, the school library is always occupied and you will be marveled at the population in night classes(TDB).
Nigerians,i can't assure you that we have good classrooms, hostels, best administration but yet we still have lots of good students,we have our own good side.....follow me on twitter @st_shogat

Jonathan did not buy plane for me, says Oritsejafor

*Oritsejafor

NATIONAL President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, for the first time, publicly dismissed criticisms that continued to trail his acquisition of a private jet with some critics claiming that the gift may have come from the Presidency.

The founder/senior pastor of Word of Life Bible Church, Warri emphatically declared that President Goodluck Jonathan did not contribute a dime for the jet.

Receiving a delegation of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Delta State chapter in his Word of Life Bible Church, Warri, last Sunday, Pastor Oritsejafor said the private jet was presented to him on November 10, 2012, by church members within and outside the country in commemoration of his 40th year on the pulpit.

He maintained that over 90 per cent of the funds came from members of the church while the rest was donated by his spiritual children across the globe.

The NLC delegation was in the church for a thanksgiving service in preparation for Workers’ Day which held nationwide on Wednesday.

Speaking during that service, Pastor Oritsejafor, arguably one of the greatest philanthropists in the country and perhaps the first CAN president to spend his personal resources to run the CAN secretariat, maintained that concerned members of his congregation and some of his children decided to donate the jet in appreciation of the suffering he underwent whenever he travelled in and out of Nigeria preaching the gospel.

“Word of Life members miss me, my family misses me greatly and appreciating the trauma of connecting flights across the globe; they decided to constitute a committee to raise funds for the purchase of the jet. They reached out to some of my children in and out of the country who generously donated to the course,” he explained.

Oritsejafor challenged the Labour leaders to endeavour to do their investigations and if possible use their connections in government to ask President Jonathan if he contributed any kobo to the purchase of the jet, noting “why will people just set out to disparage persons without verifying their facts.”
The cleric said given the nature of his work, a plane had become a necessity, wondering why people were deliberately silent on his annual empowerment programmes in the Niger Delta and his numerous reach-out projects to victims of Boko Haram violence in the North, but decided to malign his person.

“My records are there at the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, which I led for eight years for anybody to verify just as people are free to come to the CAN Secretariat to make their independent investigat-ions,” he stated, adding “I pay for all my bills as CAN president,” he stated.

He also defended his call for the arrest of CPC presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) whose comments during the 2011 electioneering campaigns are believed to have precipitated the post-election violence that followed the announcement of results of the election.

The CAN president had come under tremendous criticism over the plane with Catholic Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah describing him as an embarrassment to Christianity while former Congress for Progressive Change, CPC vice presidential candidate, Pastor Tunde Bakare, said clergymen like him, taking advantage of their congregations, and buying private jets, deserved to go to jail.

The CPC spokesman, Rotimi Fashakin recently said that President Goodluck Jonathan on November 10, 2012, rewarded the CAN helmsman with the gift of a Bombardier Private jet.
